The early symptoms of peri-menopause and menopause can vary widely between women, but they’re caused by fluctuating and declining oestrogen levels. Here’s a breakdown of the most common early signs:

- Irregular periods – cycles may become shorter, longer, lighter, or heavier.
- Hot flushes – sudden feelings of heat, often in the face, neck, or chest.
- Night sweats – sweating that disturbs sleep.
- Sleep problems – difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep.
- Fatigue – feeling unusually tired or lacking energy.
- Headaches – can become more frequent or intense.
- Weight changes or bloating – metabolism can slow and fat distribution may shift.
- Joint and muscle aches – general stiffness or pain without clear cause.
💭 Emotional and Cognitive Symptoms
- Mood changes – increased irritability, anxiety, or low mood.
