Thousands of Missed Appointments in Bury
A Bury GP has spoken of the frustration of doctors across the borough as new figures have revealed thousands of people have failed to turn up for appointments.
Dr Kiran Patel, Medical Director at Bury GP Federation, is urging patients not to waste “potentially lifesaving” face-to-face appointments.
Bury GP Federation data shows that despite offering patients seven-day access to doctors, more than 4,300 evening and weekend appointments were missed in the past year, up until the end of March.
